Barbecue bacon meatball
This delicious recipe was posted by Team Traeger. It’s an easy-to-follow recipe that will allow you to create the most amazing, action-packed meatballs ever. The best part is that they are wrapped in bacon!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- 2 yellow onions
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 cup onions, diced
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. spicy ketchup
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1 pack of bacon
- 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
First, preheat your oven to 425 °F.
Then, cut off the tops and bottoms of the onions and remove the exterior shell. Cut the onion in half and peel the layers apart. Be sure to keep the biggest layers to stuff with meat.
To prepare the ground beef, toss it with diced onion, parsley, brown sugar, mushroom, condiments, and bread crumbs in a mixing bowl.
Afterwards, fill the onion layer pieces with the beef mixture.
Wrap the onion meatballs with bacon. This can typically be done with three slices per ball, but it will vary depending on the size of your ball. Secure the bacon with toothpicks to keep it from unraveling during cooking.
Put the finished bacon-wrapped meatballs in the oven for 40 minutes. Then cover the balls in BBQ sauce and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Now, you can enjoy your delicious BBQ Bacon Meatballs!
